The Global Insights team serves as Reddit’s central hub of knowledge, responsible for translating first-party and third-party data into actionable insights about people, communities, and cultural conversations. The team plays a critical role in helping Sales, B2B Marketing, and Consumer Marketing teams articulate Reddit’s value to advertisers and consumers alike.

Reddit is seeking an EMEA Insights Specialist to join our growing Global Insights team. This hybrid role will focus on both commercial and consumer insights, helping advertisers show up more strategically on Reddit while also supporting Reddit’s growth and positioning among consumers across the region.

As the first dedicated Insights hire in Germany, this person will become the definitive voice of Insights across DACH — serving as a trusted advisor and strategic partner to some of the world’s largest brands, agencies, and internal stakeholders. This role combines consumer intelligence, cultural strategy, brand positioning, commercial storytelling, and market expertise to help drive advertiser investment and audience growth across EMEA.

Reporting to the Global Insights Principal, this role will partner cross-functionally with Sales, Marketing, Communications, and Growth teams to shape how Reddit is understood in-market by both advertisers and consumers.

Location Preferred candidates based in Berlin or Hamburg. Amsterdam and London will also be considered.

Responsibilities

  • Transform complex first-party and third-party data into persuasive, actionable narratives and strategic recommendations for advertisers and internal stakeholders.
  • Design hypothesis-driven research frameworks that identify the right business questions before selecting methodologies.
  • Conduct and synthesize mixed-methods research, including qualitative and quantitative approaches, to uncover cultural and consumer trends.

Strategy & Growth

  • Translate insights into compelling sales narratives, strategic positioning, and “why Reddit” stories that support advertiser acquisition and revenue growth.
  • Help brands understand how to succeed on Reddit through culturally informed audience and platform insights.
  • Support both advertiser growth and consumer growth initiatives by identifying opportunities to strengthen Reddit’s market position across EMEA.
  • Contribute to brand strategy development, positioning work, perception studies, and Jobs-to-be-Done (JTBD) frameworks.

Cultural Intelligence

  • Surface culturally relevant regional insights that inform marketing, communications, and growth strategies.
  • Develop a nuanced understanding of online communities, subcultures, and evolving social behaviors across fragmented EMEA markets.
  • Act as a subject matter expert on Reddit communities, internet culture, and platform behavior within the German and broader EMEA media landscape.

Storytelling & Thought Leadership

  • Create sharp, provocative, insight-led narratives that challenge conventional thinking and inspire action.
  • Represent Reddit at industry events, client presentations, keynote sessions, and thought leadership opportunities.
  • Influence senior stakeholders through concise, commercially relevant storytelling and strategic recommendations.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience working in stakeholder-facing insights, strategy, analytics, or research teams within media owners, agencies, or platform organizations.
  • Native or fully fluent German and English language proficiency required; French is a plus.
  • Strong presentation and communication skills, with experience representing insights at high-profile consumer, B2B, and client-facing events.
  • Deep expertise in mixed-methodology research, including:
    • Qualitative methods (ethnography, focus groups, moderated and AI-moderated interviews, social listening)
    • Quantitative methods (survey design, segmentation, brand tracking, statistical analysis)
  • Strong understanding of the German media and advertising landscape
  • Ability to engage credibly with senior stakeholders across major German brands and media agencies.
  • Familiarity with platform analytics, first-party data, and syndicated tools such as GWI, Comscore, Ipsos, and survey research platforms.
  • Broad category fluency across key advertiser verticals including CPG, automotive, finance, technology, entertainment, and retail.
  • Working knowledge of the competitive platform landscape across EMEA. 
  • Strong cultural intuition and curiosity around online behavior, digital communities, and emerging social trends across EMEA markets.
