At Greenhouse, you’ll join a team that collaborates purposefully, fosters inclusivity, and communicates with transparency and accountability so we can help companies measurably improve the way they hire.

Join us to do the best work of your career, solving meaningful problems with remarkable teams.

Greenhouse is looking for an Analytics Architect to join our team!

To support the growth of Greenhouse’s core and emerging businesses, you will onboard the skills needed to define and standardize the way we build and report on data across the organization. You will implement processes that enable strong data governance practices, drive discoverability of crucial datasets for decision making, and enable the building and modeling of strong analytics resources.

Reporting to the Director, Data Analytics, you will have a broad scope that includes modeling datasets for products like MyGreenhouse and Greenhouse Recruiting. You will interface with executives, distributed analysts, and power users to drive consistency in the way core datasets are created and monitored while bridging the gap between the business, application databases, and the analytical warehouse.

Who will love this job

  • A builder – you enjoy establishing global modeling standards and creating a single source of truth for distributed teams
  • A strategic thinker – you can translate complex business requirements into high-fidelity, productized data resources
  • A collaborator – you excel at interfacing with Product Engineering, Data Platform, and Machine Learning teams to drive organizational alignment
  • An autonomous problem solver – you take full ownership of technical challenges and find scalable solutions independently
  • A detail-oriented architect – you are passionate about data quality, documentation, and enforcing rigorous governance standards

What you’ll do

  • Build and maintain core data models for Greenhouse Recruiting and emerging business lines
  • Establish global modeling standards using dbt to ensure a single source of truth across the organization
  • Design and implement automated data quality frameworks and observability pipelines to catch regressions
  • Partner with Product Engineering to bridge the gap between application databases and the analytical warehouse
  • Own the Greenhouse Data Catalog to ensure every core dataset is documented, owned, and discoverable
  • Develop and enforce data governance policies including naming conventions, testing requirements, and documentation standards
  • Standardize the metrics layer to ensure consistent reporting across core business functions
  • Drive reporting consistency and technical best practices across decentralized teams of analysts and power users
  • Additional projects and responsibilities as business needs require

You should have

  • 5+ years of experience as a data engineer or analytics engineer
  • Proven expertise using dbt to create complex data models, specifically for B2C or SaaS environments
  • Track record of building frameworks and processes that enable central data teams to drive global consistency
  • Experience modeling complex datasets for recruiting or similar core business functions
  • Strong ability to manage data discoverability tools and enforce organizational documentation standards
  • Ability to lead cross-functional technical initiatives and manage distributed stakeholders
  • Experience with automated testing and observability pipelines, a plus
  • Your own unique talents! Your background has given you a unique perspective and set of transferable skills that aren't always in alignment with a given role - but those are qualities we value at Greenhouse. If you don't meet 100% of the qualifications outlined above, we still strongly encourage you to apply

Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.
